I’m Fran, the Me behind Murphy & Me

I’m a freelance illustrator, wife to Guy and lucky Mummy to Arthur and Barney. I live in Northumberland, right by the coast and when I’m not working, I spend most of my time walking on the beach with my family and Cockapoo, Murphy- who unknowingly was the reason for starting this venture! 

I’m well known for my pet portraits however since having my first little boy at the end of 2019 I’ve found a whole new passion for children’s illustrations and the charm behind a simple drawing. 2022 saw our second little boy come along, and in Spring 2024 we welcomed our daughter. They are what inspire me every single day and are most definitely my reason behind all of this.

I like to think my illustrations will make you smile and make a special moment or memory come to life on paper.
